Single-game seats, the few that were left, went on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday for the first season of the PWHL.

Capacity at the Mattamy Athletic Centre is officially listed at 2,600, though that number can be expanded so while the team is declaring a sellout for the entire season, there still are tickets that will come up and be available closer to game days.

Mattamy is the smallest venue among the six-team league, but there already are whispers that a move to a larger venue – hello Coca-Cola Coliseum, capacity 7,779, home to the Toronto Marlies – may be in the works for Year 2, but so far that is just talk.

In any event, it’s not a bad thing to be in demand, and based on the response in Toronto, the PWHL is very much in demand in this market.
