It’s been nearly three years since the CN Tower received a $21 million investment to modernize its space and improve accessibility, and while construction is expected to wrap up this fall, visitors can currently see progress being made.
The terrace level is still undergoing renovations. Building upon the $16-million Main Observation Level renovation in 2018, the newly renovated space—which is 113 storeys above Toronto—will feature floor-to-ceiling glass “Window Walls” to maximize year-round indoor viewing capacity and extend indoor observation; it will also feature a new and uninterrupted glass floor.
The lower observation level has partially reopened. Guests visiting this level can experience their glass floor and a sneak peek of “Artmosphere”, a new immersive, interactive art showcase.
“Artmosphere’s expansive, state-of-the-art video walls feature animated visual representations of original works by a collective of Canadian artists, including Indigenous artists from across the country,” the CN Tower notes on their website.
Best of all—the experience is free for CN Tower ticket holders.
