“There is incredible momentum for the RBC Canadian Open’s return to Hamilton with our historic defending champion Nick Taylor and our previous two-time winner in Rory (McIlroy) leading the early charge,” Bryan Crawford, RBC Canadian Open Tournament director, said in a release Thursday.
“Hamilton has been an exceptional host venue for the championship, and we are looking forward to delivering another exciting festival experience for golf fans next summer.”
McIlroy’s first Canadian Open victory was a seven-shot win at Hamilton in 2019. McIlroy has stated many times his affinity for national opens and in recent years Canada has been a staple on his schedule.

Last week, the RBC Canadian Open announced a commemorative logo that will be used (at least) for 2024, that feature a silhouette of Canadian Taylor’s iconic winning putt in 2023.
The 2024 schedule, however, presents new challenges for the RBC Canadian Open as the tournament is directly followed by two signature events sandwiching the U.S. Open. Assuming McIlroy and other top stars want to play the big-money, limited-field signature events, they will be playing four weeks in a row if they play the RBC Canadian Open.

**U.S. Open — June 13-16
