Every year on May 4, millions of Star Wars fanatics worldwide celebrate a galaxy far, far away to commemorate George Lucas’s beloved creation. As ‘May the 4th’ approaches, a new study analyzed Star Wars Google search volume from across Canada for 2020 to 2024 to discover where the most avid Star Wars fans live—they found that Toronto is the most Star Wars-obsessed city.
Taking a quick look across social media, it’s not hard to see the franchise’s influence in the city.

Toronto even has its own Garrison: the 501st, where Star Wars obsessed super fans have a sort of ongoing live action role playing fun throughout the year.
Toronto actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, of Kim’s Convenience fame, is even a member. Lee had a dream come true when the Star Wars super fan landed a role in the second season of Star Wars spinoff TV series The Mandalorian.
“I mean, Star Wars is kind of the reason I wanted to be an actor. And it’s been such a big part of my life from that point onwards, and then to have a chance to do this, you know, it’s a big full circle thing,” said Lee, in a previous interview with Streets of Toronto. “It’s incredible and I was just so overwhelmed by how lucky I was.”
Storm Crow Manor could be the most Star Wars-forward bar in the country, especially this weekend when special Star Wars cocktails are on offer.
