Esemonu had demanded the troubled star pay her $1.6 million after claiming he had impregnated her. On Monday, she was charged with one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices.

The former Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Indians star and another man were the victims of Esemonu’s schemes, the Maricopa County District Attorney’s Office alleges.

Esemonu has also been charged with theft by extortion against the second victim.

Bauer had claimed in a video missive that the woman was lying about what he called a consensual sexual tryst.

“We had one plain sexual encounter in December of 2020, nothing that could be considered remotely rough,” Bauer said.

Fox News reported that Esemonu sued Bauer in Arizona in 2023, accusing the fallen star of holding a knife to her throat and then choking her until she passed out. She claimed she became pregnant as a result of the encounter.

Bauer has denied it and was never charged in connection with Esemonu’s allegations and counter-sued her. But he still paid more than $8,000 connected to the bogus pregnancy and proposed abortion.

Esemonu claimed she miscarried but Bauer said in his video, she was never pregnant and that she only emerged after the first woman, Lindsey Hill, came forward with her allegations.

Bauer added in the video: “She then demanded $3.6 million dollars and claimed I forced her to have an abortion leaving her ‘emotionally devastated and irretrievably damaged’ by it.

“But here’s the thing — she never had an abortion, because she was never even pregnant, and that’s corroborated by her own medical records. When I refused to pay her the $3.6 million she was asking for, she made up a bogus sexual assault claim and filed a civil suit against me.”

Cops say Bauer filed a criminal complaint against the woman claiming she was extorting him but investigators did not proceed or recommend charges.

“Her m.o. is clear. Lie to men to get their money. Extort them if she must,” Bauer alleged in the video released late Tuesday.

“When they refuse to pay, stop paying, or stop giving her what she wants, go to the police, accuse them of sexual assault, and file a civil suit against them to retaliate.”

Hill, of San Diego, came forward in 2022 claiming Bauer had sexually assaulted her, anally raped her and injured her during rough sex. He countersued and the pair settled out of court without any cash changing hands.

“At this point, I’m not sure what else I can possibly do to prove my innocence in all of this. I did not do what I was accused of, and every institution that our society has entrusted to rule on issues like these, like courts, judges, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, etc, they all agree with me,” Bauer said in the video.

After posting the video, Hill emerged from the woodwork daring Bauer to press charges against her.

Since the scandal with Hill, Bauer was suspended by the Dodgers and MLB before he did a hardship posting in Japan. Now playing in Mexico, he remains hopeful that he will return to the Show.
