UFC legend Mark Coleman spoke from a hospital bed a day after saving his parents from a devastating house fire.

Coleman’s daughter Kenzie posted a video of the retired MMA fighter, who was hooked up to machines in a hospital room as loved ones came to visit.

“I’m the happiest man in the world,” he said, as tears streamed down his face.
“I swear to God, I’m so lucky,” he continued. “I can’t believe my parents are alive.”
On Wednesday, Coleman’s other daughter Morgan revealed her father was hospitalized after a fire destroyed the Toledo, Ohio home.
“As many know, our dad was involved in a house fire early this morning along with his parents and beloved dog, Hammer,” Morgan wrote on Instagram.

She detailed that while he was able to get the couple out of the house, he was unable to save Hammer.
Coleman was airlifted to hospital where he was left “battling for his life” after his heroic actions.

“I had to make a decision,” he said in the video. “I got out of my room and to the door. It was horrible. I couldn’t breathe. I almost had to go outside.”
“I went back there and got ‘em. I got ‘em. I can’t believe it,” he continued. “I got ‘em, but I couldn’t find Hammer.”

Kenzie captioned the video of her hospitalized dad with a heartfelt message.
“God is good. Miracles do happen. Our dad is breathing on his own,” she wrote.
“We still have a long road ahead of us but we are truly thankful. We want to thank you all for the love and support from the bottom of our hearts.”

Morgan launched a GoFundMe page for her father, which had raised more than $112,000 in donations as of Friday afternoon, surpassing its $100,000 goal.
Coleman beat Dan Severn to become the UFC’s first Heavyweight Champion in 1997.
He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2008, and retired in 2013 with 16 wins in 26 fights.
