The self-described purveyor of “traditional masculine old school values” went into hiding earlier this week on the Elon Musk-owned app after the 47-year-old divorced father of two slid into the DMs of a 23-year-old right-wing political activist. He briefly deleted his account after the interaction with Isabella Maria DeLuca, who he had earlier belittled in a public comment on X, according to the New York Post.

By Thursday, though, Huff’s account was active and he was posting again on X.

It all started when Huff decided to weigh in on an argument between DeLuca and author Rachel Wilson, who had criticized DeLuca’s appearance in a video of her baking a cake in a tight sweater, but with no apron.
“Proof that most (of) today’s women even know… their sexuality is all they bring to the table,” Huff posted on X.
“Complete with a desperate need for attention, crippling debt, drama, delusional self worth, & a complete lack of accountability.”

DeLuca responded by posting a screenshot of a direct message she claimed to have received from Huff’s verified X account on Christmas Day that said, with a winking emoji: “Hey beautiful let’s Colab (collaborate) over cocktails and bad decisions.”
DeLuca said in a separate post that she “never responded” to Huff’s message, the Post reported, and asked, “Is that why I got unfollowed? Is that why you’re attacking me too?”

Huff is no stranger to controversy, having twice been suspended on X when it was known as Twitter for spreading COVID-19 disinformation and comments on the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. His account was reinstated after Musk bought X in 2022.
The two-time World Series champion’s hateful posts on social media also got him banned from a 10-year anniversary celebration of the San Francisco Giants’ 2010 title-winning team.
